OUR CLASSES

Judo for all

Found the drive and motivation to get active? We’re thrilled to hear it, so why not come and train with us at Maldon Judo Club. We are a family friendly club and welcome all ages, abilities and grades. Our training sessions are a mix of technical and traditional Judo with some randori, run at a pace to suit you. Junior classes are a mix of technical drills, randori and Judo based games to aid the fundamentals. Judo is a great way to gain self confidence, get fit and meet new friends. So why not come and give us a look we would love to see you.

No matter what your age, ability or grade we at Maldon Judo club with give you a warm and friendly welcome and a great workout.

WHAT IS JUDO AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

Judo is a Japanese martial art consisting of throws, hold downs, strangles and arm locks.The word judo is made up of two words Ju meaning gentle and do meaning way. Combined Judo means gentle way.

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO DO JUDO?

We at Maldon JC allow juniors to start from the age of five, some other clubs may vary their starting age.

HOW CAN I BENEFIT FROM JUDO?

Judo will help you to keep fit, help build your confidence and self esteem. You will meet new friends of all ages and abilities and have fun.

AM I TOO OLD TO START JUDO?

No you can start Judo at any age. Judo is for young and old, male or female.

ARE YOUR COACHES FULLY VETTED?

Yes, all our coaches at Maldon JC like all other club coaches have attended a first aid course, a safe guarding and protecting children in sport course and are CRB checked. Larger clubs will also have a child wellfare officer within the club.
